“Tree of HOPE-Light a Night” contributions total $37,428
(Fort Wayne, Indiana – January 25, 2008) – Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope Tree of HOPE-Light a Night project raised $37,438, over the holidays, doubling last year’s total. Although the costs for families to stay at Children’s Hope are $95 per night, families are asked to pay only $10, however no family is turned away for their inability to pay. Each $10 collected represents a night’s stay for a family with an ill child in the hospital.
“The outpouring of donations from throughout northeast Indiana is a blessing,” said executive director, Debbie Meyer. “Thank you to our sponsors, United REMC, Noble REMC, Northeastern REMC & Touchstone Energy, Bob Evans restaurants, Hilton Garden Inn-US 24/Jefferson, Barrett McNagny LLP, General Credit Union, Indiana’s NewsCenter and event chair Molly Rommel. Donations came from individuals, employee work groups, civic organizations, schools, and families. We live in such a loving and caring community. Thank you!”
