- Children’s Hope House serves families with critically ill children 18 years or younger.
- Both new and returning families must be referred by a hospital social worker, nurse or physician.
- After fourteen days of stay, a family’s situation will be reviewed.
- Rooms can only be occupied by immediate family members and those extended family members who are directly involved in the care of the patient.
- A donation of $10.00 a night is requested from the family. If that is not possible, alternate arrangements can be made.
- A family can be asked to leave at the discretion of House staff.
- If any family member has been diagnosed with a communicable disease while staying at the House, or if any visitor is believed to have exposed residents at the House to such a disease, it is most important to notify one of the staff members immediately. At the discretion of our Physicians Advisory Board and/or House staff, it may become necessary for the family to leave theĀ Children’s Hope House.
- All patients/guests under the age of 18 who stay at theĀ Children’s Hope House must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. If you are under the age of 18, you CANNOT stay at Children’s Hope without a guardian.
- When parents are 18 years of age or younger, the following guidelines will apply:

- If mother of patient is 18 or under, she must have proof of marriage and must be accompanied by another adult over the age of 21.
- Couple must be married if both parents are guests.
- A parent who is 16 or under must have grandparent of patient stay regardless of marital status.
- The Director and/or House Manager may use his/her discretion in regard to strict compliance with the above criteria.
